Internet

I have an opportunity to move to Ireland. I am a remote consultant so I can bring my work with me. My career relies upon stable internet and access to employer VPNs back in the States.

I would prefer to live outside of the city (we live in a rural community currently), but I can't seem to find any assessment on access to Internet in areas surrounding/within a half hour outside of cities.

Anyone have a sense of what internet is like in towns outside of any city between Derry and Dublin? Any websites that I could look at?

I just want to make sure that I pick a place that handle my needs. Spotty or non-existent internet would be a deal-breaker.

Thanks.
