I read before that a person has to prove a certain income but if a person has enough money to buy a home in full so has no monthly mortgage payment and no pension other than social security income, the minimum income I had previously read is too steep to qualify if one does not have a pension and most of us these days do not have a company pension. I think the government of Ireland should make some exceptions if the person who wants to retire in Ireland has already enough money to pay for a home in full. Their cost of living is less if that person has no housing payment.
