HELP! Moving to the Asti or Turin area with toddler and husband!

My husband will be working in Asti, Italy. Do you have any suggestions or advice as to What, when, where, and how? Ugh. I have a 3 year old that will be moving also. Turin and Asti and places nearby are our choice of places to live. Do you have any suggestions? We presently live in the Detroit, MI suburbs of the USA. What is the average square footage of apartments and villas over there? How much are they? Will we be able to find someplace more like "home" with the USA amenities such as a dishwasher, washer/dryer, equipped kitchen and bathrooms, lots of windows, air conditioning and heating and at least 3 bedrooms (mother may live with us temporarily)? Any surrounding areas around the Turin and Asti area you would recommend? I absolutely love the water, however, I don't see water near these areas. What can I do to get myself acclamated a/s/a/p? Any support groups for expats for spouses or families? What about exercise/gyms places? I love to swim and play tennis. Is this available anywhere? WHAT is there to do there? I am fearful of the move to an isolated place where no one speaks the English language. I am open to learning Italian too! Are there American/International schools for preschoolers etc nearby? How about the cost of an au pair or helper? I use to live in Hong Kong where the domestic help was extremely affordable and I had wished I had assistance. We will most likely have 1 car to share hopefully. Language schools for Italian? Thank you so much for your feedback and advise!
