Freelance Web Developer in Italy

Hi,

I am planing to move to Sardinia, Italy from the UK by Q4 of 2004 with my girlfriend of 5 years who comes from there and is resident.

I am currently a freelance Internet Consultant and have a number of excelent clients in the UK which I hope to keep when I move.

My questions are -

1. Can anyone recommend the best tax route to take since most of my income is at least initialy going to come from outside italy?

I've heard that I may be able to get a bank account in a tax haven and then only bring in the amount I need to live / pay morgage, although i'm probably rather confiused about this option.

2. What is the gen on morgages since my partner is resident and I am EU and is it posible to get a 90% morgage out there in italy like it is here in the UK as a norm?

3. Any other tips on ways to save money at least initialy as things could be v.tight with all the moving expence and initial setup costs / housing taxes. (any taxes that can be defered to a later date? etc)

Any help what so ever would be appriciated.
