Hello Everybody,
I am very interested in moving to Italy to study for the next few years. I have been in love with Italy for as long as I can remember, and now is finally the time in my life to go ahead and do it! I have my undergraduate degree form an American University, and I would love to continue on to a Masters program in Italy.
Unfortunately, I am just starting to learn my Italian, so for now I am very handicapped when it comes to researching the information about the Universities on line. My plan of course is to come in and study the language first to a level which will allow me to get by in the University environment.
So I would appreciate any advise from anyone who had any experience with Italian Universities. There seems to be SO many of them, and I can not help but wonder if some are significantly better than the others and some should be completely avoided, and so on. In terms of concentration, I am looking mostly for things like Philosophy, Religion, Anthropology or Psychology.
For now I am planning a short exploratory trip for 6-8 weeks in October-November. And I am wondering if anyone can recommend any Italian language courses associated with specific Universities it would be a great way to test the University environment and get more information.
In general, I would really appreciate any information anyone can share about their experiences with Italian Universities best schools, English-speaking contacts, tuition rates, student life, anything and everything every little bit helps.
Thanks a million!
