Living and working illegally

I design and manufacture luxury leathergoods here in the states, on a very small scale. I would like to eventually expand my business by coming to Italy and learning the fine leather crafting techniques used there. I found a school in Florence that I would like to attened for a few weeks, but am also interested in maybe working as a leather artisan for one of the companies there without a work visa.

Is there anyone involved in the leather industry there, that might know what my chances might be of trying to do something like that?
