Yep - I want to move, too.

After going to Florence to visit my girlfriend who was a culinary student at Apicius, I fell in love in four and a half days. When I showed up to surprise her, she wasn't the only one who wound up surprised. That trip left such an impression on me that I still have a hard time believing how moved I was just walking the streets and being there. The food, the people, the history, the art all around - I couldn't get enough. But why am I bothering to tell you this? You already know what I'm talking about or you wouldn't be on here!
Anyway, she and I are determined to move as soon as we can. I'm 35 and she's 28 and we both know that if we don't take the chance we'll always regret it. We made some friends over there and are soliciting help from anyone who can help. The whole work visa process is a daunting one and we're thinking of enrolling in language school to get student visas and then changing things around after we get there.
Is there anyone out there with specific instructions as to how the heck to get all this going? The number of resources out there is mind-boggling and really hard to sift through!

Thanks!
