We are an American family living Lucca for the school year. We have had such a positive experience with the woman who has provided us with “domestic support” (so that my husband and I can focus more on our work and family) that I really feel compelled to share her availability here for anyone who feels they could use help. This woman started as our cleaner, and at that she is very reliable and thorough. Then she began helping us a few days a week to prepare meals from recipes I have chosen, as well as clean up. This has been a tremendous help as we are all eating more healthfully and are so pleased with the newfound variety and flavors given she has an intuitive sense of cooking, loves learning new things, and is very receptive to feedback. When I have really been in a pinch she has also done the shopping. As a mother herself, she is also very good with kids and has spent time with ours teaching them things she knows. Her personality is just delightful and I only wish I could take her with me when we return in May! Because some of the families she has worked for have moved away, she happens to have availability to work with other families. Her rate is 10 euro per hour to do any or all of these things.
