Is an Olive Grove a Blessing or Burden?

After looking at homes for sale in Puglia and other regions, I no know that they often come with an olive grove. I am past the time that I'll be able to prune trees or harvest a crop. But do I love the end product. Is it commonplace for someone like myself to have arrangements with nearby farmers or landowners to maintain the grove, harvest the crop and have it pressed? If so, would the arrangement be for money or for sharing the end product? A hectare of olive grove -- a blessing or burden?
