Financial support on spouse permit

Hey everyone, I will be getting married in the spring, my husband and I are both currently students in Italy, and need to know if I can apply for a family permit of stay (I'm currently a student but that will run out in mid-June), and submit a third-party affidafidt of support for financial means. I've come across an opinion that says no, I cannot, but have also been told by Your Europe Advice (http://europa.eu/youreurope/advice/index_en.htm) that they have to accept third-party support. Has anyone gone through this?
