Wifi in Sicily/Southern Italy

I am looking for rentals this summer in Siracusa while I look for property there and see that almost no places on airbnb have wifi. I read somewhere that internet in Sicily is actually expensive. This is rather disconcerting as I'm used to cheap access to the internet. Can someone point me to some sites for internet providers?
