Dental Implants

I am planning to move to Italy sometime around mid-May and have a tooth that requires a dental implant and crown. Costs in NY for both are approximately $5,000 for high quality care. I have a bit of sticker shock, as this digs into my relocation fund.

I am wondering if anyone has had this type of work done in Italy (or environs) , and if so, would like to know what your experience was and what I might expect to pay?

Thanks so much.
