Health insurance advice

My partner and I need to get private health insurance for our residenza in Italy. We are UK citizens but will shortly lose our entitlement to NHS cover due to the new 3 month rule. We are, respectively, 67 and 73 years old. Thus far, the quotes we have received have been far in excess of what we can afford; we consider 800 euros monthly as derisory. Can anyone help with insurance advice - companies, addresses etc ?
