My Foreign wife

Good morning everyone!

I am Italian and I am moving back there with my Brazilian wife. I was informed that I have 8 days to make sure her place of residence is registered (inscrição anagráfica) from the day of entering Italy.

The problem is, we are moving there and want to travel a bit first so we do not have a fixed address just yet. We want to choose a place carefully.

What is the reality on this matter? I am getting mixed messages online and I would love some definitive expert expat advice which of course will be greatly appreciated.
