My husband and I are planning a temporary move to Italy. We're still very much in the researching phase. Right now we are thinking about Genoa, La Spezia, Viareggio, or Livorno.
We love the beach, which is why all locations are along the coast. We enjoy hiking, exploring cities/towns, and being outside in general. We don't have a preference on the size of the city. My husband may need to do a bit of traveling for work, so we don't want to move too far south.
We will be bringing our pets (2 dogs and a cat) with us, so we would need a place with a yard. Because we are looking to spend no more than $3,000 (2595 euro) per month on rent, we understand that living inside the city with a yard may not be possible.
We will not have a car, so local transportation and access to the major rail lines will be important.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you!
