Genoa to Apparizione

Hi all, I am moving to Genoa in June to attend long term Italian school in the centre of the city. I'm in a dilemma, I can live with a retired couple in a lovely apartment 500m from school or I have the option of a lovely little studio in Apparizione and catch the bus in daily. I am a mature lady and of course enjoy my privacy but want to be social as I'm on my own. Anyone live there who can tell me the difficulties of traveling each day by bus to help me make up my mind?
