Condo For Sale in Cassano d'Adda near Milano

Hi All,
Any of you who read my Moving to Italia thread may remember that my brother-in-law Franco was a huge help for us. My turn to help.

Some posters here seek housing. Franco has a condo for sale in Cassano d'Adda, which, according to google maps, is 32.2 Km and 47 minutes from Milano by car, a bit North of due East. Franco says it's 15 Km and 20 minutes, so the difference must lie in where the city limits lie. My google maps search was only from city-to-city, generically, without any specific starting point or destination. One presumes it is from city-center to city-center on google maps.

It is a 2 BR, 1 BA, with 2 balconies, a cantina, a garage, and a large common yard. It is on the Secondo Piano (third floor for us Americans), without an elevator. It is approx 80 square meters with an "open space" floor plan. Everything is in good condition, I'm told. I was there once, but it was many years ago and I was only there for a few minutes and so don't remember much in the way of details. The condo was bought for his son, who moved back to Padova a few years ago. It has been empty since then.

Cost is EU 105,000, and it is under exclusive sales contract at present, meaning one will have to go through the agency for pics and other info.

If anyone is interested, I can put parties together, but otherwise have no stake in the transaction. I am merely returning a favor for all the help Franco gave us this last year.

Cheers, John.
