We are planning on moving to Italy in June. We just left Morgan Stanley where they told us if we make a change of address outside of the US or residency in Italy, they will need to close our portfolio. I came to this awesome expat site and found that Sergio uses Schwab for banking in the US. We called Schwab and they said essentially the same thing as Morgan Stanley regarding new accounts made after March 15, 2019, which would impact us. Anyone have any other ideas as to how our money can continue to grow while living in Italy? Also so we won't be taxed on our IRA's/SEP's because of having to close our account.
