Long Term Visa

Hi
My husband and I are looking at moving Italy from Australia. However, first we would try the move for 6 months. We have a private rental at Penne for the time but have recently hit the wall of not being able to stay longer the 90 days.

Our ages are 46 and 56, we are fully funded, have health insurance and a return ticket.

I am looking at attending Language school but I do nit think it will satisfy the 20hrs pw needed for a study visa.

Any other suggestions or experiences with how to get a Visa for 6 months?

Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.
