My wife and I arrived in Italy on 10/1/18 with a PdS Visa from the US and now have our Italian ID and 1 year PdS cards. We have not yet applied for PdS renewal.

We are considering taking a trip back to the US in late October 2019 for some weeks to explore resuming permanent residence in the US and returning to Italy for just three months each summer.

If we decide to resume US residency does anyone know if we will have issues reentering Italy, either when:

1. We come back in Nov/Dec to arrange for return of the household goods we had shipped to Italy in connection with our 2018 move here; or

2. When we return In June 2020 for the summer

Do we need to file an Italian tax return for 2019? If so, when?

Any other things related to our residency here the past year here that we should do here before we leave in October?
