Obtaining Italian citizenship through Jure Sanguinis

Good morning everyone. Just returned from a wonderful trip to Italy. Between work and vacation, I have spent nearly 6 months within the last 10 years. I would like to learn from anyone that has petitioned for residency or citizenship thru Jure Sanguinis for non Eu citizens. I can trace back 3 or 4 generations and provide marriage and birth certificates for relatives on both my maternal and parental sides.
