Ciao everyone. I just signed up and am grateful that such a forum exists. I was stationed at San Vito Air Station (near Brindisi) from 85-88. I fell in love with Italy (it's people, lifestyle, food, history, art, climate, etc, etc) and have vacationed there several times since. I'm retiring in 3 years, 9 months, 26 days and have decided to spend the rest of my days living there and traveling Europe (on a budget). I know it's cheaper down south, but I'm thinking about trying to find something in the north in order to access the rest of Europe more easily. I'd love to hear your thoughts!
