Brexit, Visas & Italy

Hi everyone,
I am currently navigating through the articles that have previously been shared on here regarding the policies of Brexit and how it has affected obtaining Visa's etc. Most of the articles I found were dated 2019 and I was wondering if anyone had any updated information?
I have a UK passport, married to an Italian, hoping to be in Italy in the next 4 months and wondering what I can do to get the ball moving in terms of the paperwork. I am not yet ready to take my language exam but it is on the agenda and then hopefully onwards to residency.
Any recommendations or guidance would be truly appreciated!
