moving to Italy

Does anyone suggest living in Italy for 3mo. before deciding to move there? I am an older woman whose husband just passed away in Dec. and for a long time I said if I was alone, I would live in Italy. Now I am alone and not sure what to do. I have a large house I'd have to sell and almost everything in it. It's a large undertaking. And I'm sure it costs a lot to ship things there. But I'm still considering it. I've been there 2 times and loved it. Any suggestions are appreciated. Kay
