Real Estate Listings: Price on Request

Hello All,

I'm beginning my property search. I've noticed that quite a few listings have "price on request". Here in Texas that means you need oil money or be a multimillionaire in order to afford the property. Is this the same in the Italian market? Does price on request signify a more elite financial status requirement for potential buyers?

I've done some searching and can't seem to find an answer here or Google. If there is a thread with this info please direct me to it.
