Buying in Luguria

Hi All,

I'm about to start my search for a house in the Liguria region, between Genoa and San Remo.
Ideally I'd like to live in a village with access to public transport and close to mountains, not necessarily in the mountains, and also close to the sea.

Any basic do & don'ts on this?
