Hey hey,
I am a retired police officer from Poland and receive my monthly live pension paid by the state here.
We are in a process of looking for a house in Calabria region, buy it and move it even tomorrow. As EU citizens we do not need any visas, just register our residency there.
BUT unfortunately I can't find any reliable information regarding our "income tax situation" in Italy.
I searched this forum but all topics are being asked by 3rd country nationals (according to Schengen regulations).
I would be more than happy to learn if, and if so - how high, would my pension be taxed?
Is it untaxed in Italy (as it is untaxed in Spain) so I won't need to worry about filling my tax "return" in Italy as it is being done automatically in Poland
OR
it is taxed and then Polish government would need to transfer me a gross pension?
Thank you in advance!
have a nice weekend!
