Spouse is Italian Citizen

Hello, all,
My wife and I are thinking of retiring in Italy next year. She is an Italian citizen though she has not lived in Italy for many years.
We are both fluent jn Italian.
If we move to Italy, will she immediately qualify for public health care as a citizen, and would I, as her spouse, also qualify ?
Also, if I get Italian citizenship by marriage before arriving in Italy, would I then be eligible immediately for the public health system?

I would love to hear from the knowledgeable people here who may have been in the same situation.
