Hello from Silicon Valley CA

I’m Melinda from Northern CA looking into retiring part time on the Italian Riviera! Have been to Italy several times from when I was a child til now & inspite of having traveled around the world 3 times w family, I still come back to Italy.
We’re currently looking to buy in Liguria specifically Santa Margherita Ligure or Sanremo. We’d like to know if there’s anyone who can advise us about the 2 areas since although we’ve visited Santa many times, an agent recommended we look into Sanremo as well. How are the people in each area? How’s the crime situation, the overall community do they openly welcome expats from the US & will we be able to meet other expats that live in these areas? Also if you know of any great real estate agents who speak English that can guide our search in these areas, pls send us their contact info. We’ve been looking for a couple of years now.
