Help needed an appreciated

Dear All,

I was surfing the web and came across this webpage http://www.expatexchange.com/expat/index.cfm?frmid=232&forumid=0&dbname=ee&tpcid=3342477&shared=N, where there has been a discussion among many about working in Abidjan.

I have received an "Employment offer" from a company called Media nes Services. They contacted me through an online recruitment office in Dubai called Bayt.com. They sent me an e-mail through this site inviting me to apply for some of the many open positions they have, and upon my reply, they sent me a job offer for US$ 7,000 basic salary + complete family status offer with benefits. The strange things are: -

1- They made me the offer without interviewing me. Is this normal ?!
2- They want me to transfer US$ 2,000 for the Employment Attorney to sign my job offer and be my representative in case of conflicts with the company.
3- Whenever they call from Abidjan to my mobile number, i get a "Private Number Calling" message and no numbers show.

did they ask you also to send the Employment Attorney fees. I never heard of such thing. This is why i am writing here seeking help to confirm whether or not this company is legal and truthful. is it real or they are thieves ?!

i would appreciate if you let me know.

Regards
