Hi all!
I am a young family physician from the UK, married to a Jamaican construction worker and are planning a potential move to JA!
My husband's family live in Ocho Rios but I am much more keen to move to the Kingston area.
Some questions that I would be so grateful for your input:
1. Does anyone have any idea of the average family physician salary? I've searched all over the internet and can not find anything! I know it is bound to be less that the salary in the UK (~ £70k/US$100k) but a rough idea would help to know if a move is possible.
2. Housing in the Kingston area. I have family who live in Kingston 6 but I think that area would be way out of budget. Thinking a house for roughly £400k/US$600. I'm not sure of what other areas are good for a young family, safe but affordable.
3. Schools - I have a step-daughter who is 9 and we would like to send her to a good school in Kingston. Private schools are a potential consideration too.
Thank you all in advance :)
