Moving to Tokyo

Dear All,
My husband and I are moving with our two young sons to Tokyo later this summer and would like any advice you could provide. We will probably be living in Minato and wonder about the housing availability. What items would you recommend bringing with us and what could easily be replaced upon arrival. Are room sizes much smaller than in the U.S.? Is furniture similarly sized?
Our children will be attending an international school. Any recommendations or adivce? Is commuting/transportation difficult?
