I stumbled across this forum and am blown away by the good nature of all of you. I've got so many questions about life in Kuwait.... My hubby is due to arrive in Kuwait around mid - late July and I'll follow in late Aug. I've been an at home mom here in WI - USA since I can remember. My son is almost 2! I am very interested in getting a social network established for the 3 of us including family activities and toddler activities. Since preschool isn't realistic are there ample parks, museums, safe beaches, zoos to go to? I founded MOMS Club of Appleton and have meet some exceptional moms and would consider founding an international chapter if I can meet up with other at home moms in Kuwait. Anyone interested?
So some of my questions.... How easy is it to get around town? How's public transportation? Should we buy a car? Is it worth hauling over large pieces of furniture such as couches or can we buy them fairly inexpensive? Just how safe is it raising children in Kuwait?
What are some essentials I should make certain to bring? I'd imagine lots of maintence medications. What about calling cards? Is internet access reasonable affordable? I just wish someone would write a guide on what to expect! Things would be so much easier!!
