job offer, need help

Hi, an international petroleum company has offered me a position in KL. I'm Canadian and a professional in the HSE field. I'm not sure what it really means to have expat status and also what a "normal" contract Package would be.

Would I recieve a housing allowance, annual home passage,etc?? Is there a salary adjustement? How much assistance do large petroleum companies really provide? How are income taxes handled?

Any help/advice would be appreciated.
