paying rent without foreign exchange fees

does anyone have a clever work around when paying rent without a local bank account. our landlord is not particularly clever about financial instruments. we're paying $20 just to pay the rent monthly via a foreign credit card. is there some other mechanism that could avoid the exhange fees? thanks for any leads
