Tourist visa overstay

I previously reported on my visa overstay of three months.

A new twist now. I flew from Mexico City to Tijuana ($45), took the CBX to the US ($16) and an Uber to the San Diego hotel ($34).

My Form FMM was never collected. The flight to TJ was domestic so I wouldn't expect it to be collected by the airline. The CBX has no Mexican immigration officials so not collected there either.

When I returned to MEX, I offered the FMM to the immigration official at the airport. She said "Ya no sirve." What a wierd and disorganized immigration system. Although I will say that the US also does not track when a visa holder leaves the US.
