Moving to Mexico

Hola fellow Expats,

I have landed a job as a teacher in Mexico.
I would like to invest in a property and live in Mexcio permanently.
The school will provide me with a residency card as I have my temp visa in my passport..
Can you please advise if I can buy a property with a residency card and then have my personal effects shipped to my address with a temp residency card before four years instead of waiting for four years to obtain a permanent residency card? Does the worth of the property bough effect whether I can get the residency card and a green light to ship my effects?
Also, since my employer in Mexico will assist me in opening a bank account for pesos, can an expat open a USD bank account?

Any assistance provided would be appreciated. Thank you kindly for your replies.
