Changing Residency/Changing Jobs

When I moved to Mexico, I came with a temporary residency with my job as a teacher, and I have lived with that for nearly two years now. I recently got married to a Mexican, and I am planning to leave my current job as a teacher when the school year ends. Shortly after, my current residency will need to be renewed. My questions are like this:

1. Does marriage affect the type of residency that I have?
2. I am leaving my current job that has been supporting my residency and will likely be starting my own business. How do I renew my residency with this in mind?
