My wife who is a Kiwi wants us to move to Auckland to try New Zealand on for size. I have been down there 4 times so far but I am very unsure about living there which is a stain on our relationship. We have been married for 6 years and live in S.F. which has been great aside from the cost of buying a house. Her family is in Christchurch which is kind of a provincial city in my mind and I have not spent much time in Auckland to get a real feel for the place. I found the suburbs to be a tropical copy of england. I can say that I want to go there for a year but will that be enough time to figure things out. I am also afraid of what our finacial situation will be if we want to come back due to the exchange rate and selling our stuff. I hate to sound so concerned about money issues but it is a big concern for me at this point in my life. I want to spend time there but I feel like this is alittle premature.
