Hi Everyone,
I have been interviewing for a job in Oslo, Norway and will be going there for my final interview in January, after which I will need to make a decision as to whether to move there.
I am interested in any and all resources, tips, personal stories and any other information about moving to Norway. I'm particularly interested in housing, daily living, fashion - and silly as it seems - the best clothing/fashion for a 40 something professional woman.
I am single so I will be doing things on my own and am concerned that I'd need a little extra help with proper conduct - can I go into a pub or restaurant alone, for example, without a problem?
I speak no Norwegian but am going to be taking a short course before going and if I do determine I'll be living there, I will definitely be studying the language - I love languages and from everything I've read here and elsewhere, plus experienced in other countries, there's nothing like having at least some of one's host languages.
I'll be coming from a very warm climate in the U.S., so that will be a big change! I hope to hear from others with experiences related to Norway in general and Oslo in specific. Thanks in advance!
Molly :)
