I moved from Melbourne, Australia to Oslo last November (2008) to be with my Norwegian partner. When I was asked to move here it was not something I had to think twice about. I´m basically still looking for some advice or assistance in finding work. I do not have a degree (although I studied secondary teaching at Deakin University for 3 years in the early 90s). I have several certificates of prior learning from studying at William Angliss Travel & Tourism College, and certificates of Business in Retail Operations. Aside from this I´ve had several jobs ranging from retail management, mobile telecommunications representative, through to travel consultancy work. Now I´m hoping to find work as an assistant in a Pre-school, kindergarten or after school programme. I have a wonderful rapport with children (I have 5 nieces and nephews back in Melbourne whom I love and miss very much). And I have a background in musical theatre and drama which can greatly benifit the development of young children´s creativity. So any help from fellow expats or locals would be greatly appreciated. I just want to know where to start my search. Or if anybody has any contacts for me to consider forwarding my resume and details to. Thank you in advance for reading my message. Best wishes!
