New Member, LOTS of questions

Hi,

Most of the posts I saw date back to a year or so. I'm here on this forum because I have, as the title says, LOTS of questions.

Short introduction (posted it somewhere else, as well...just saw the "new topic" button):

I'm a 31 yr. old US expat, currently living in Germany (working, studying). I speak English, French and German (English native language, French and German with comparable levels of fluency). As for my personal life, I'm separated from my German husband; we're working on getting a divorce. My new life partner is German and on his way to getting a job in Bregna Bruk in Norway (100 km north of Oslo). We're both learning Norwegian because he wants me to move with him. So now to my questions:

How do I apply for a residence permit?

Where can I apply for work?

I would really appreciate it if any of you American expats could give me some tips, especially if any of you have a background similar to mine, or live in the area (Bregna).

Thank you very much!
