US taxes when married to Norwegian

Has anyone had any problems wirh IRS or furious Norwegian husbands while living in Norway? My Norwegian husband who always have been doing our taxes with the help of a US accountant just found out he has left out foreign bank reporting every year (although bank income has been reported on the US tax returns). They have just recently sent in the bank reports for our Norwegian accounts for the 6 past years. My husband also found out that regular marital tax laws don't apply when a US citizen is married to a non-US citizen. They cannot freely transfer money between their accounts like everybody else. There are taxes involved over certain amounts. There are also special inheritance laws and a lot of other American tax laws you have to comply with (buying, selling an apartment, renting out an apartment etc.). My husband just told me to abandon my US citizenship or get a divorce since he doesn't want to be a victim of IRS or the American congress changing rules all the time. We have been married for over 35 years and he is furious over what he calls American tax imperialism (together with N-Korea and Eritrea the only countries taxing based on citizenship rather than residency).
