Moving with young family from uk

Hi, I am thinking about leaving the UK to join my partner who is currently working in Alesund. He moved out in October 2015 and would love us to join him.
We have 2 little girls aged 7&3 just wanted non bias information if possible.
Is it a good place to bring up children? Will we struggle not knowing the language initially?
Any information you can give will be greatly appreciated.
