Is it a welcoming place to outsiders? Is the economy strong? Does it feel like a university town? As an EU member (Irish citizen) would I have employment restrictions? Are university PhD positions very competitive? Is there hiking close to town? Does it feel like nature is close by and easily accessible?
What other university towns would welcome a English-speaking filmmaker?
