pakistani american female moving to lahore!

hello alll ---

i am a 23 year old pakistani american female and im thinking of moving to lahore for a few months (short term). i am currently living in thailand. i want to move to lahore to learn urdu and learn more about my culture (i am very americanized). i have never been to pakistan before and i have family in lahore that ive never spoken to but i plan on meeting them for the first time.

any ideas on where to live in lahore? also, i teach english in thailand, i have a 4 year degree from the US but not a TEFL or TESOL english teaching certificate. is teaching english a viable option for a job in lahore?

i would also like to volunteer for an NGO. my two main interests are refugees and promoting peace. does anyone have any ideas on NGOs in lahore? ive looked up on google but havent found anything yet that pertains to these topics.

haha anyway, i know im asking a lot of questions. any help would be very appreciated. i plan on leaving for pakistan in a month. if nothing else, i will just visit family for a few weeks but i would really really love to settle there for a few months
