I moved back to Pakistan after living abroad my whole life. I basically grew up in Nigeria and then did my undergrad and masters degrees in the US (TX and ND respectively). All my life I have had so many international friends. But it is really difficult to meet any foreigners in Islamabad. Y'all keep to the diplomatic enclave and don't mingle with the rest of us much. Sometimes I see you at Kohsar Market or at the mall but I'm a bit too shy to approach anyone that way.
Anyway I'm hoping I can meet someone through this forum. Whether you are passing through Islamabad or live here, I want to know you. Particularly if you are American! I don't miss living in America much but I really miss Americans.
Here is my linkedin so you know I'm a real person https://www.linkedin.com/in/shumila-ahmad-04173a4a
Weird aside: if you want to adopt kittens or know of anyone who wants to adopt kittens let me know. I have this "hobby" of rescuing dying animals from the streets, paying exorbitant amounts of money to the vet in order to make them healthy, and then giving them up for adoption. Currently my house is overrun with eight cats and three of them need homes.
