magicjack problem

Noticed today my phone dedicated to magicjack says "no line" and the jack itself feels cool instead of its normal warm. Can't get a dial tone either. It's hooked into a heavy duty surge protector. However, the magicjack works fine on my little tablet. Gets daily power loss here so wondering if that repititious power loss blew out my phone and jack. I'm no techie. I have 3 more months paid up on my magicj so I doubt that's the issue. Any ideas?
