DIGEMIN Authorization of Absence from Peru for longer than 183 days

My understanding is that the only way for an expat to retain their Peruvian residency while being absent from the country more than six months out of the year is if they are granted an Authorization of Absence by immigration. The only way I have heard of this happening is if a private Peruvian company sponsors a work visa with a job contract in a position in another country (such as selling Peruvian products internationally).

I am an American in the process of setting up my own publication company in Peru, which will require me to frequently travel to other countries to promote the books and establish marketing relationships. Is it possible for me to acquire an authorization of absence for my own company? Or is it only if I am employed by another company?

Thanks for any insight into this complicated matter.
