High quality nanny/yaya/maid.

It's possible to get really high quality maids/nanny/yaya. If you have a great budget, My first wife (whom I'm still friends with) was from a very wealthy Filipino/Chinese business family. I was also working in Manila with a good paying job when we were married. I interviewed and hired a nanny/yaya who was recommended by the American Womens Association or something like that in Magallanes Village in Makati. I interviewed several before I hired her. She was in her twenties, spoke English well and had no children but help raise younger siblings. It's now 17 years later and she is still the nanny for my son. She has her drivers license now and drives him back and forth to school everyday. She did such a good job with him that he will be attending an Ivy League school this coming September. Yes eventually his academic level surpassed hers but she installed good study habits to him and did a great job raising him. Like most wealthy families the nanny/yaya spends more time with the kid/kids than the parents. So don't make the mistake that a lot of Filipino families do by hiring a not very intelligent yaya/nanny. Would you really like that person making quick decisions with your child in an emergency situation or in teaching him right from wrong. There seems to be a number of people on this forum with giant houses and tons of money. If you have a young child don't allow your wife to get a not so intelligent yaya/nanny for your child.
